Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas
Our pick here comes down to what CityCenter's curved glass tower doesn't have: a casino...
Palms Place rises 47 stories beside Palms Casino Resort, connected by a corridor rather than fused into it — 599 suites, all at least 600 square feet, run as a non-gaming, smoke-free residence with the casino a few minutes' walk away whenever a guest wants it. The format sits closer to a condo tower than a resort: dark wood floors, plush furnishings, and a kitchenette in every suite, with larger units stepping up to full kitchens and fireplaces. It opened as a condo-hotel and still carries that DNA in the room sizes, generous even by the standard of the Strip's newest towers.
We chose this address for the value equation as much as the suites themselves: genuine 600-square-foot-plus rooms with real kitchenettes, a sixth-floor pool deck with cabanas and a bar that functions as the property's social hub, and a twenty-treatment-room spa with a coed hammam — amenities that would carry a Strip-tower price tag here running noticeably lower, ten minutes off the Strip by shuttle or car.
Off-Strip by design, Palms Place sits in a quieter business-adjacent pocket west of the boulevard, with a complimentary shuttle running to the Strip until around 9 p.m. and a twenty-minute drive to the airport. The trade is straightforward: guests give up walking distance to the Strip's core in exchange for space, value, and a tower that empties out at night rather than filling up with foot traffic, which suits a guest who wants a genuine night's sleep between casino visits rather than a room that never quite goes quiet.

Our Favorite Thing About the Hotel: the sixth-floor pool deck, the property's real social hub
Dining: Simon restaurant and Rojo Lounge, both accessible via the connecting corridor to Palms Casino Resort
Amenities: spa with 20 treatment rooms and a coed hammam, pool with cabanas and bar, non-gaming and smoke-free throughout
Attractions: Palms Casino Resort (connected via corridor), the Strip (10-minute complimentary shuttle)
Every suite starts at 600 square feet, larger than most Strip hotel rooms by a wide margin, and carries at minimum a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, fridge, and stovetop — enough for a real breakfast rather than a coffee pod. Larger suites add full kitchens, fireplaces, and pull-out sofas, useful for a longer stay or a small group splitting a unit rather than booking two adjoining rooms. Dark wood floors and a restrained, modern palette replace the marble-and-gold template most casino hotels default to, and the effect reads more like a well-furnished apartment than a hotel room built for a single night.
The sixth-floor pool functions as Palms Place's living room: cabanas, a hot tub, and a poolside bar that fills up on weekend afternoons without ever feeling like a Strip dayclub. The spa runs twenty treatment rooms and a coed hammam, a genuine wellness program rather than a token spa menu, and none of it requires crossing a casino floor — that's reserved for the corridor connecting to Palms Casino Resort, taken only when a guest wants the tables or Simon's dinner service. The separation is deliberate and it works: the tower stays calm even on a Saturday night when the casino next door is at full volume.
The complimentary Strip shuttle stops running around 9 p.m., so a late night out means a rideshare back rather than the shuttle, and the ten-minute distance from the Strip is a genuine trade-off for anyone who wants to walk everywhere. For value-minded travellers who don't mind a short ride, the suite size and kitchenette more than make up for the distance, and a rental car is rarely necessary given the shuttle and the short rideshare fares in this part of town.
